What is Job Surfers?

Job Surfers is a career accelerator that helps you land your dream job, faster. You will access online content, tools, and 1o1 Mentorships to get hired at top startups and worldwide companies. We combine technology, strategies, and online coaching to support you with CV, interviews, search, networking, and salary negotiation. Our fellows (called Job Surfers) usually land more interviews, more job offers with higher salaries.

Is Job Surfers a Recruitment Agency?

No. Recruitment Agencies partner with us to get access to Job Surfers Talent pool and increase the chances of getting you a new dream job!

We are an online program that focuses on teaching you how to master the whole job search process. You're expected to learn how to build your resume, and your LinkedIn profile, how to search, apply, and contact recruiters, prepare your interviews, and negotiate your salary. Don’t worry, we will teach you how to do it!

We will also be sharing jobs and sending you opportunities to apply!

Do you have a free trial?

Absolutely! In case you are selected to join Job Surfers, we first request a commitment bond to join the program.

If during the first 2 Masterclasses, you decide to leave, we will refund 100% of the commitment bond. If you’re ready to learn more or get started, fill out your application here and the Admissions Team will be contacting you with the next steps!

What types of roles or industries do you support?

Job Surfers currently helps people find jobs in the following areas: Sales, Marketing, Design, Software Engineering, Product/Project management, Finance, Operations, Data, Recruitment, Content & Administration.

What requirements are needed to join Job Surfers?

Job Surfers currently operates in Latin America with job seekers with at least 1 year of experience in the areas we support.

We require an advanced level of conversational English and a high level of commitment to invest time and effort in improving your skills. In addition, every participant needs to have working rights/visa (or looking to work as a contractor) to make sure the visa is not blocking you from landing a job offer.

We are committed to working with participants we feel we can help and at the end of the day, if we’re not sure we can provide you with the value you need and deserve, we may not approve your application.

What does the timeline look like for applying to Job Surfers and joining the program?

The application process generally takes one to two weeks from beginning to end, followed by a two-week Free Trial. With that being said, we tailor our Trial experience to the individual needs of potential fellows and if you would like to be accelerated, we can often expedite the process to as short as a few days. We accept new fellows on a rolling basis throughout the year.

How much of a time commitment is Job Surfers?

There are a lot of factors that go into how many hours a week you’ll spend when enrolled in the full program. A lot of these come down to individual factors like how quickly you read and process information and most of them have to do with how much time you choose to invest.

With that said, our fellows typically spend an average of 10 hours per week on their job search, which includes up to two hours of sessions with Job Surfers mentors per week and the remaining time spent on all of the activities you should already be doing for your job search: submitting applications, sending cold outreach emails, and refining your interview skills. Job Surfers as a program is designed to run in parallel to your job search, guiding you throughout and adding value, not extra work.

Finally, we expect our fellows to be committed to the program because of our shared success: when you win, we win – and vice versa. As such, our fellows are accountable for a minimum number of Job Search Tasks but we are always flexible in adjusting individual expectations as long as our fellows communicate their needs proactively.

Where do Job Surfers fellows typically end up working?

Job Surfers graduates land opportunities everywhere from US startups like Deel, and Ontop or worldwide companies like Mercado Libre, Amazon, and Wework. Some Job Surfers also work remotely while traveling the world!

We will help you land a job aligned with your goals, whether that’s an early-stage startup, a top tech firm, or something else – because Job Surfers is built around personalized mentorship and generalizable best practices.

What happens after I get a job?

Depends on the Plan you choose. Once you graduate from the program, you will be liable for payments on your Income Repayment Loan (see below) that you applied for and were approved before. If you’re a recently placed fellow with questions, please reach out to hello@Job Surfers.org.

How do I pay for Job Surfers?

When you are joining Job Surfers, you are investing in your career to become a master in finding amazing jobs. This is why we call payments “commitment bonds”.

Job Surfers offers two options to pay for the program.

You can either pay:

  • The full commitment bond upfront and be eligible for a 100% refund.

  • A lower non-refundable fee, and the rest once you land a job offer.

If you’re a current fellow, in the full program, or recently placed, reach out to hello@Job Surfers.org

How does the Refund Policy work?

If you joined the program paying the full commitment bond, you are eligible for a 100% refund in case you don’t land a job offer after 6 months of completing all the Masterclasses and required exercises.

In case you joined our program paying a lower non-refundable fee but haven’t landed a land a job offer, you aren’t eligible for a refund as you won’t have to pay the rest of the commitment bond.

Can I join Job Surfers if I’m already employed or interviewing companies?

Absolutely! We help job seekers regardless of their current situation.

The same goes for professionals who are already interviewing with companies or who are about to receive an offer!

We are not able to offer a discount for any companies you’ve applied to or have only completed the first interview with. Instead, we will provide significant assistance in helping you through those earlier stages up until you accept an offer! It’s super important to disclose any jobs you have in the process when you talk with your Admissions Manager.

What happens if I need to withdraw after the Free Trial?

While we offer the two-week Free Trial as a way for folks to try Job Surfers before they commit to the full program, we understand that life happens. If you find yourself in a position where you’re no longer job searching, we do approve withdrawals from our program on a case-by-case basis and for a nominal weekly fee (not including the two weeks of the Free Trial).

What if I have more questions?
